Uttara's Tandoori Chicken

8-9 skinned chicken pieces
1 1/4 cup plain yogurt
1 inch piece of fresh ginger grated
2 garlic cloves peeled and crushed
1 onion peeled and chopped
1 tbs lemon juice
2 tbs tandoori masala or 4tbs tandoori paste
1 tsp garam masala
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper


Marinade: put all the ingredients (except for the chicken) in a food processor and process until smooth. Marinade the chicken in the fridge overnight. Take chicken out of marinade and cook in oven or on bbq. Remaining marinade can be frozen and re-used another time. If successful, invite Andre for supper.
